Activator Method
The Activator Method is an instrument-assisted form of manipulation that involves utilizing a handheld device to perform adjustments to
spinal vertebrae and other body joints and muscles. It is an alternative to
traditional adjustments, as it eliminates twisting- or cracking-type maneuvers
and provides a comfortable yet effective correction. The Activator Method is an
ideal technique that can be used on anyone, especially the young or the elderly.
The Activator Method aims to effectively break down scar tissue and reduce inflammation that causes pain and restricted mobility. Chiropractors can then treat soft tissue lesions with the depth, pressure and specificity necessary to affect the condition at the site of the pain, as well as following the kinetic chain to find and treat the cause. Other conditions treated include the following:
- Chronic Pain
- Rotator Cuff Injuries
- Knee Injuries
- ITB Syndrome
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Elbow Tendonitis
- Strains/Sprains
- Neck/Back Pain
- Plantar Fasciitis
Benefits of the Activator Method include the following:
- Pain Relief
- Increased Flexibility
- Increased Strength
- Enhanced Recovery
